- "More flash for the ca$h"
-
- This is an aid for SMARTCOM-II™ owners. It consists of a set of
- Autopilot files that all up to 10 files to be down loaded from the GEnie™
- Macintosh™ Software Libraries. Because SMARTCOM-II doesn't have
- variables or formal subroutines with Autopilot scripts, some editting of
- these files must be performed before starting the file transfer.
-
- To set up for the download:
-
- 0. Put the SMARTCOM-II document on a disk named "Untitled", in a folder
- named "Genie ƒ".
-
- 1. Figure out what files, by Macintosh software libraryfile number, you
- want transferred and make a list.
-
- 2. Number these files starting with 10 and counting down to 1. If you
- get to one, stop, the current set of Autopilot files will transfer 10 or
- fewer files.
-
- 3. Enter SMARTCOM and open Autopilot "file10" (for the first file to be
- transferred). Change the number in file10 to the appropriate file
- number. Repeat as necessary for each file to be transferred, opening a
- new Autopilot for each file.
-
- 4. Assuming you actually want to transfer 10 files, enter GEnie and get
- to the point at which you are ready to enter the file number to be
- downloaded.
-
- 5. Using the Perform Now Autopilot function, double click the Download
- autopilot and walk away. If you had wanted to transfer 9 files,
- Download2 would have been double clicked.
-
- 6. After all files have been transferred, the Download Autopilot sequence
- will hang up the phone.
-
- If you have any problems with this, let me know at the above address, or
- by E-Mail to MUNROE on GEnie.
